The firm is led by Dr. Carol W. Carlson, who brings her diverse background of scientific, engineering, and business expertise to August-Gram. Highlights of her career include: NASA sub-contractor, Lockheed Martin engineer, and over 20 years of high-level consulting to government and corporations, such as Colorado Medical Society, Intrado, and Jeppesen.

Dr. Carlson received her Ph.D. in Economics with an emphasis in Operations Research from the Colorado School of Mines.  She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado and Florida.  Her design and project management efforts for the Space Shuttle Return to Flight initiatives earned her the prestigious Astronaut’s Silver Snoopy Award in 1988.  She held Confidential government and Astronaut Contact clearances as a NASA contractor.
